What is Brick House Thrift?
Brick House Thrift is a donation-based social enterprise. We resell pre-loved items online and use the funds raised to provide monthly community micro grants to individuals and organisations.
How does donating work?
You donate items you no longer need, we thoughtfully rehome them, and the funds raised go directly back into the community through our micro grant program. Simple, circular, and impactful.
Please note:
We are currently only accepting Clothing, Books, Shoes & Accessories.
We do not accept Homewares, Furniture, Bedding or Kitchen Items.
What happens to the money raised?
Our profits support our operating costs and monthly community micro grants. These grants provide small but meaningful financial support to people and ideas that need a boost.
What are community micro grants?
Micro grants are small grants awarded each month to individuals or organisational projects within the community. They are designed to remove barriers, spark ideas, and support real-life needs. No red tape, just practical help.
Who can apply for a micro grant?
Applications are open to community members and small initiatives. Details on eligibility, application dates, and selection criteria are shared via our socials and website.
What items do you accept as donations?
We accept clean, good-quality, reusable items that can be given a second life. If you would not pass it on to a friend, it is probably not suitable for donation.

What happens to items you cannot sell?
Unsuitable items are responsibly redirected where possible, with landfill as a last resort. Reducing waste is a core part of what we do.
Can I donate but not shop?
Absolutely. Donations are just as valuable as purchases. Both help power our micro grants and community impact. Please contact us to make a financial donation.
Please note: We are not a registered charity, so unfortunately your donation will not be tax deductable.
How can I support Brick House Thrift?
You can support us by donating, shopping, sharing our work, or spreading the word about our micro grants. Every bit helps.
Where can I learn more?
Follow us on social media or get in touch directly. We are always happy to chat.
